Service Project!

Earlier this year a group of the teens went and helped clear a lot of vines and tree limbs from house! The couple that owned this house weren't physically able to do any of the basic up keep. I past this house the other day and noticed that we might be needed again. Things grow fast here in Washington. Here is a short video of that event.

I have never seen so many black berry vines in my life. You just got to love the thorns on those vines.

2010 Egypt File VBS

July 2010 was a very busy month for the youth. Most of them participated in our five day Vacation Bible School that our church put on. They were involved with leading kids, craft time, snacks and game, leading kids to Christ, and the Drama. It's awesome to see so many youth getting involved here in our church and serving in so many areas. Check out some of the behind the scenes video on the photo page.

2010 Youth Christmas Party - Design and Defend!

We have had our moments for sure, but this years Christmas party was very eventful. The theme was "Design and Defend", and we did just that. We designed our own pizzas (pizza is always a plus) and then we defended ourselves with Nerf Guns. And when I say Nerf I mean Nerf to the max, well as max as we could get in a church. Isaiah 9:6 was our passage in the bible for the devotion. Truly amazing to hear our Savior described hundreds of years before He was ever born. "Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

2010 Northwest Youth Conference

The Northwest 2010 Youth Conference was one of our highlights. We traveled down to Portland and stayed two night for a great conference filled with fun, singing, and life changing messages from Gods Word.

We all returned challenged from Gods word and tired from the late nights. Oh and the van rides were interesting also.

Answers In Genesis Mission Trip

AiG Mission Trip

First of all, I would like to thank my parents for paying for the trip. I would also like to thank my family and church family for all of their prayers for our safety and that many people would turn to Christ though our work.
There were 110 people that came to witness from 16 States, Canada and one lady from Ireland. Our group was sponsored by an organization called Answers in Genesis. They are a group that promotes creationism and science in accordance with the Bible. They have sponsored mission trips to the last 5 Olympics. The first 2 days that we were there, we had the privilege of listening to the president of AiG, Ken Ham. The next 7 days, we went out on the streets and passed out tracts. The tracts were great, and they were written in 7 different languages including: Chinese, Japanese, German, Russian, and Spanish, French and of course, English. Our whole group, with the help of some locals, was able to pass out 91,400 tracts. Even though I did not get to personally lead anyone to Christ, I was able to share the Gospel with many people. About 5 people made professions of faith (and I am sure many more that we don’t know about) though the work that we did in Vancouver. Of course, it was actually God’s work.
One of the most memorable times was when we had passed out all our English tracts one day and all we had left were some wordless bracelets. A young woman approached me and wanted to know what we were giving out. Well, since we were out of tracts, I gave her a bracelet and was able to explain the Gospel using it. She seemed happy about what I had shared with her and said that she would read her Bible when she returned home. She could not talk for very long, because she was on her way to a game or something. I pray that she accepted Christ.
I thank the Lord that I was able to go share the Gospel with people in Canada during the Olympics and I pray that I will be able to go to the summer Olympics in London, England in 2010.

Farewell To the Youth Group: From Josh

       To my Youth Group: Guys, it has been great getting to know each and everyone one of you!  You do not know the impact that you guys have had on my life and the encouragement you have given me in growing in the Lord and building relationships with people. It has been a great ride and I am glad to have been a part of it. Even though I am leaving, God will bring others into your lives to build you up in Christ and the Lord. Remember, God says in Romans 8:28 “ All things work together for good to those who love God and to those who are called according to His will.” I will keep all of you guys in my prayers and please keep me in yours. You guys are all great friends and I will miss you guys very much. I will never forget this youth group who helped me to follow the Lord and love Him with all my heart. I would especially like to thank Pastor Marc for being a great leader and youth pastor.

Quote of the Month

Well Sunday night all the teens went over to Pastor Marc's house. We played some games then did some eating. Near the end of the night we took prayer requests then P. Marc had two people pray then he was going to close in prayer. 

Well as soon as Josh said amen Mr. Delaine forgot about the other people that were going to pray,said really loud for all to hear,,, "Lets play Red Rover". 

Well we were able to finish praying although it was tough for P. Marc to continue without laughing.
